I launched a website the other night. I hadn’t finished much content for it but I was so excited I kept wanting to jump the gun. Unfortunately, I didn’t recall that most of the cool stuff I’d built for the site happens on the admin interface, which no one, but myself, currently sees.
The site is simply the framework for a bigger project I’m undertaking which is the writing and posting of a task-based manual for Textpattern, the opensource content management system that I absolutely love.
Right now, there are two tutorials posted. One shows you how to upload an image to Textpattern. It is found under the content tab. The other shows you how to create a new page on your Textpattern powered website. That one can be found under the presentation tab.
On the upper-right side, you will see a link for asking more questions. I am going to write tutorials that I assume are needed, but usually people who need the tutorials know better than one such as myself doing the assuming. So, please, write in with the questions you need answered regarding Textpattern.
I hope to add many more tutorials to this manual.
